Effective April 1, 2007, the new Health Professions Act requires that all Pharmacists registered on the Alberta Clinical Register must provide evidence that they hold personal Professional Malpractice Insurance coverage in the name of the individual Pharmacist. Coverage must be transportable and apply wherever they may practice pharmacy in Alberta.
